Lulu Le' Mon is a 16.1hh 2011 OTTB gelding by Lemon Drop Kid. Lulu is a very calm and relaxed guy who is a KICK/Spur ride. He has excellent ground manners- stands in cross ties and loves to be groomed and fussed with. The kids all enjoy braiding his mane and tail and just loving on him. He moves very well and we have high hopes for his future. He floats everywhere he goes, has a super scopey and fun jump and is very very composed in all situations! Lulu is a dream to ride, he is ultra light in the bridle and just a fun guy! We are having a great time bringing him along and will be super excited to take him to some schooling shows! This guy is FANCY!!! Would make an excellent and competitive dressage horse or Eventer or Hunter! He is the same horse no matter how much time he has off, he will pick back up right where you left off.
Lulu has been on the back burner for some time now and really deserves his own person who can spend more time with him and really bring him along. He is super well developed at the walk and trot and ground poles and cross rails/18” verticals. He still is lacking consistency in his canter leads and balance, but he WANTS to do all the right things. If he has a rider who can ask him to hold himself together he will, he just doesn’t do it on his own yet. He currently gets ridden MAYBE twice a month and is absolutely excellent. In a more consistent program he would improve super quickly. he does have flying changes. Lulu is such a wonderfully sweet and well mannered gelding, he tries super hard every time. Lulu did retire from the track with a slight bow, but was rehabbed professionally before coming to Everbright at which time he was let down for 18 months before we restarted him. he has never had any soundness issues since coming here.
